About me
I've been building websites since 1998 and know quite a lot about it really. I understand technical terms like “DTD” and “Ternary Operator” as well as artier ones like “Mood-board” and “Mac”. In-fact, it is my wide, deep knowledge of the skills required to take a project from initial brief through design and eventually development that makes me good at what I do.
Web Standards
This is a topic that bores most people to sleep so I'll keep it brief. Web Standards are the closest thing we have to building regulations. I follow them.
Lean documentation
Rather than creating a vast array of useless documentation, I will produce a lean, but comprehensive set of documents that lay out, in layman's terms, what you will and won't get for your money. “No surprises” is my motto.
Fast results
I am fast. If there were coding speed tests I would win them. Most developers don't even get going until the second pastry of the day. Not me, I'll have the bare bones of a site up and running in the time it takes them to get back from the bakery!
Accessible
Not just a subject to do with disabled access. I build my sites to ensure they operate on as many devices as possible such as PDA's, mobile phones, HTPCs and Screen readers.
